Often, our solutions and application developed for a particular market sector or product can be reused in other market sectors.
SMI Maatwerk has produced a telescopic deck crane for Hydromar. These deck cranes are ideal for lifting equipment such as tenders and jet skis to and from a superyacht. A deck crane offers the possibility to place equipment on deck or in the ship. Thanks to its telescopic section, the deck crane can be stored more compactly and offers a further range.
SMI Maatwerk is commissioned by Neopost Shipping to make the frames of the CVP-500 automated packaging solution machines. This fit-to-size packaging automation will size, construct, tape, weigh and label each custom order, creating the perfect package and eliminating the need for void fill materials. SMI Maatwerk produces a new PCL Robot Profile Cutting line for HGG. The PCL is a highly productive robot profile cutting line with edge cleaning, marking, home systems and CAD-CAM interfaces. This all makes the fully automatic operating machine a very innovative and highly productive machine.
SMI Maatwerk is commissioned by Hydromar to produce two large hulldoors of 8 by 3 meters and 6 by 3 meters, which will be placed in a super yacht. Opening the side of the yacht offers an enormous amount of extra opportunities for the yacht, such as tender storage, beach clubs, or as a balcony.
The conveyor belt will replace a current system of the production process and is fully customized to fit between the other systems. Because the product will operate in the food industry the framework and other parts consists mainly out of stainless steel, it does not contain any gaps / seams and a drum motor is installed for maximum hygiene.
SMI Maatwerk has produced the construction work of five specially designed floating weather stations that will be used for the Ocean Clean Up Project. The weather buoys, commissioned by Seatools, will perform functions such as navigation and provide detailed feedback on the performance of the Ocean Clean Up project. Read more
SMI Maatwerk has designed four scissor lifts for lifting tenders and lifeboats, weighing up to 10.000 kg, from the lower deck to the upper deck to make it possible for the crane to pick up the tender and lower it into the water. The four scissor lifts will operate in sets of 2, each on one side of the yacht.
The Seascape platform is one of the largest projects produced by SMI Maatwerk commissioned by Hydromar. The platform is for a new generation 5-star cruiseships specialy developped and designed for expeditions and which will give travellers new experiences. View here a short video of the platform.
For Hydromar, a yacht equipment producer, SMI has produced a 10 meter long telescopic mast which can be used for a wide range of applications including navigation masts, antenna masts, flag masts, crane masts or light masts. As the mast has an important safety function on board, the product is according the highest norms.
SMI has produced the 64 hydraulic guiding systems for the pile installation frame for seatools. The installation frame makes it possible to create a perfect alligned foundation for windmills on sea. The systems guids the four foundation piles to the required location and vertically straight in the seafloor on which the windmills will be build.
Opening up the side of the yacht offers a huge amount of additional possibilities to the yacht, such as tender storage, beach clubs and others. Cramm doors are highly reliable even under the toughest sea conditions. The design of the yacht door is based on a 3D model of the client’s yacht, and custom-made in aluminium, steel or stainless steel to enable differing shapes, sizes and weights.
